Hollywood Stars Shine at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival Opening in Saudi Arabia

The 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival opened with unparalleled glamour in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, drawing Hollywood, Bollywood, and Arab stars for a night of cinematic celebration. Prominent attendees included Johnny Depp, Diane Kruger, Michelle Williams, and Bollywood sensation Ranveer Singh. The festival also featured notable Saudi talent, showcasing the growing impact of the local film industry.

The opening gala screened HWJN, directed by Iraqi filmmaker Yasir Al-Yasiri, a story rooted in Saudi culture, blending fantasy and drama. The event underscored the festival’s commitment to diverse storytelling and nurturing emerging talent, with a significant number of Saudi films debuting this year.

Actors like Ranveer Singh and Diane Kruger were honored for their career achievements, while celebrities like Lebanese star Nadine Nassib Njeim emphasized the festival’s role in elevating Saudi filmmakers to global prominence. Saudi director Hakeem Jomah expressed enthusiasm about the historic inclusion of so many Saudi productions.
